About ROYAL HUA HIN GOLF CLUB
Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, the first in Thailand, was originally a 9-hole course built in 1919 and opened in 1922 during the reign of King Rama VI. It was officially inaugurated by the King in 1924. The second 9 holes were added in 1928 under King Rama VII, with design input from A.O. Robin, a Scottish railway engineer, and an Italian architect.
The course is renowned for its rich history and stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand, particularly on the back nine. The Royal Pavilion (changing room), opened in 1969, was named “Sala Phachadhipok” in honor of King Rama VII. Over the years, it has become a home to many Thai golf professionals.
In 1985, management of the club was handed to Bonrod Co., Ltd., which continues to operate the course today.
