Eastern Star Country Club & Resort is a beautifully designed championship golf course created by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. Opened in 1991, the par-72 course stretches over 7,134 yards across a former coconut plantation near the coast of Rayong. Surrounded by more than 2,200 coconut palm trees, lakes, and natural scenery, the course offers a relaxing atmosphere with refreshing sea breezes throughout the round.
Known as a “thinking golfer’s course,” Eastern Star combines open fairways with strategic doglegs, water hazards, and well-placed bunkers that reward smart course management and accurate shot placement. The layout is enjoyable for both beginners and experienced golfers, offering a balanced mix of challenge and playability. The signature par-3 13th hole is especially memorable, requiring a precise tee shot over water to a well-guarded green surrounded by bunkers and hazards.
In addition to the scenic golf course, the club also features a driving range, practice facilities, comfortable locker rooms, and a welcoming clubhouse restaurant. Having hosted numerous local and regional tournaments, Eastern Star remains one of the most respected golf destinations in the Eastern Thailand region.

We usually play golf as a pair around Pattaya, but it's a bit difficult to book a course here for just two people. It's located at the southern tip of the island, a bit far from Pattaya, but I think the course is quite interesting. It's strategically challenging.
